This product combines in a single vial two different compounds that act on the growth hormone axis through separate pathways: CJC-1295, an analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone, and ipamorelin, a secretagogue that acts on the ghrelin receptor.
Since these are two independent molecules rather than a single compound, the combination has no chemical identity of its own: it has no single CAS number, molecular formula, molecular weight or sequence. Each component keeps its own, and those are the ones that appear on the batch Certificate of Analysis.

The logic of combining them is that they act on different receptors and are therefore not redundant. CJC-1295 binds to the GHRH receptor in the somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary; ipamorelin binds to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, also called the ghrelin receptor. In normal physiology both signals converge, which is why experimental designs studying the somatotropic axis often include them together.
Ipamorelin also contributes a trait frequently described in the literature: it is one of the secretagogues with the least concomitant effect on cortisol, prolactin and follicle-stimulating hormone, compared with earlier compounds of its family such as GHRP-2 or GHRP-6.

Neither component is approved in any country. Both were placed in Category 2 of the FDA 503A list in September 2023 and removed from that category in September 2024, when their nominations were withdrawn. It is important to understand what that exit means: it is not a favorable evaluation, but the interruption of the evaluation procedure. Neither moved to Category 1.
Both are prohibited in competitive sport within class S2 of the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List, which covers growth hormone-releasing factors and secretagogues.
Since it is a blend, analytical verification is more demanding than for a single-compound vial: the Certificate of Analysis must report the identity and purity of each component separately, not an aggregate value.

The vial is delivered lyophilized, that is, as a dry powder obtained by freeze-drying. In that form it is stable and does not require a cold chain during transport: shipping does not compromise the material. On receipt, it is kept refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C, protected from light.

The volume is not fixed — more water gives a more dilute solution with a larger measuring margin; less water concentrates it — and the choice depends on the working protocol.
The diluent is added slowly along the wall of the vial, never directly onto the powder, and left to rest for five to ten minutes. The vial is swirled gently until fully dissolved; shaking it hard subjects the peptide to mechanical stress that can denature it. Once reconstituted, it is kept refrigerated and is not frozen.
Bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which allows multiple draws from the same vial. Plain sterile water has no preservative and is only suitable for immediate use. Signs of degradation to watch for: cloudy solution, visible particles, change in color or odor.
Because a CAS number identifies a single chemical substance, and here there are two different molecules in the same vial. Each component has its own, and those are the ones that should appear on the batch Certificate of Analysis.
