Cagrilintide is a long-acting synthetic analog of human amylin (half-life ~7 days). Amylin is a pancreatic hormone co-secreted with insulin that regulates gastric emptying and satiety. It has been investigated in combination with GLP-1 agonists for synergistic metabolic effects.
