Do peptides work for memory and concentration?
This category has a peculiarity worth knowing: much of its clinical literature is Russian. Semax and selank were developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and are registered as medicines in Russia, with studies published in that context.
That means there is more human evidence than in other categories of this catalog, and at the same time that this evidence has not gone through evaluation by Western agencies. Neither the FDA nor COFEPRIS has approved them, and much of the research is not available in English-language indexed journals. Both things are true at the same time.
The published work describes mechanisms involving neurotrophins —mainly BDNF— and neurotransmission systems. What it does not describe is a demonstrated effect on cognitive performance in healthy people.
What is sold on this page is a laboratory reagent labeled RUO: it has no sanitary registration, it is not intended for human or veterinary consumption, and that is why it comes with no dosing schedules or promises of results. If your interest is a treatment and not an experiment, the right conversation is with a doctor, not with a reagent supplier.
